The Toronto Blue Jays bounced back greatly with a big 6-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers. Everything went in Toronto's favour, mainly due to their stellar play from the beginning, which set the tone for the rest of the game.

Ross Stripling got the start for Canada's team and was very solid in the six innings pitched. He allowed no runs while striking out Detroit four times. The impressive showing on the mount was backed up by great defence from the outfield to prevent many potential on-base hits.

The same couldn't be said for the Tigers, as they couldn't seem to stop the Jays' offence whatsoever. The floodgates broke open in the fourth opening when Toronto broke the stalemate by scoring four runs. Starting with Vladimir Guererro with a two-run homer to center.

Teoscar Hernandez added another run to that scoring total due to an RBI from Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Who wouldn't stop at just an RBI as he scored a run of his own thanks to a line-drive single by Cavan Biggio.

As an entire collective the Tigers only had two total hits the entire game, compared to the Blue Jays who had five hits in just the fourth inning alone. It was a convincing victory and was topped off by a Gurriel Jr. single to center that allowed Alejandro Kirk and Santiago Espinal to score a pair of runs extending the lead to 6-0.

Toronto with the dominant outing put themselves in a great position for their next series with the Baltimore Orioles on Monday at 7:07 PM.
