SmackDown is coming from The World’s Most Famous Arena Madison Square Garden in New York City.

 

SmackDown Opening

 

SmackDown starts with the Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Reigns, The Usos and Paul Heyman come to the ring. Roman gets on the mic and says he run New York and Madison Square Garden. He asks the sold-out crowd to acknowledge him, and they chant his name.

 

Brock Lesnar interrupts Roman and makes his way to the ring. Brock enters the ring and gets in Reign’s face. The Usos step in and Lesnar just smiles. Paul Heyman asks Brock why he’s coming after Roman. Lesnar cuts him off and asks him why he didn’t tell Reigns he was going to be at SummerSlam. Roman and The Usos leave the ring leaving Heyman with Brock. Heyman does his Brock Lesnar introduction, Lesnar loves it. 

 

Brock gets serious and tells Paul before Roman fires him to accept his challenge for a title match, he gives Heyman five seconds, Paul doesn’t answer. Brock picks up Heyman for an F-5 but Roman and The Usos come back in the ring and attack Lesnar with Superman punches and superkicks. Brock fights back and Reigns leaves the ring, Lesnar takes out Jimmy and Jey with German Suplexes and an F-5.

 

Backstage Paul Heyman is interviewed He says he had nothing to do with Brock Lesnar returning at SummerSlam and Heyman says Roman will answer Brock’s challenge when he thinks it is appropriate.

 

King Nakamura, The Mysterio’s, Rick Boogs, and Big E vs. Sami Zayn, Otis, Apollo Crews and Dirty Dogs

 

Before the match, Sami Zayn cut a promo saying he had a guest to watch the match and it was Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young the crowd boo’s him heavily because the Hawks eliminated the Knicks in the playoffs earlier this year.

 

The heels would be in control of the match early, but after Shinsuke Nakamura tagged in Rey Mysterio chaos would ensue as almost everyone hit their finishers. Trae Young would attack Rey Mysterio and he would be ejected from ringside. Following this moment Rey and Dominik hit Sami Zayn with a double 619. Big E was tagged in, and he finished Zayn off with a Big Ending to pick up the win in this short and pointless tag team match.

 

Big E is interviewed in the ring by Kayla Braxton after the match and she asks him what’s next. Big E teases a cash-in and says if they have what he needs they will feel his power.

 

Winner: King Nakamura, The Mysterio’s, Rick Boogs, and Big E

 

Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch contract signing 

 

Before Bianca signs the contract, she cuts a promo and talks about being in MSG. She turns her focus to Becky Lynch; she says that if Lynch were to fight her in a regular match it would be different. Belair vows to take the Women’s Championship back.

 

Becky Lynch comes to the ring wearing a big furred coat. Becky says the original WrestleMania eventer is back. Lynch says if she faced Bianca tonight, she would beat her in 20 seconds. Becky wonders what happens if she doesn’t sign the contract. Belair tells Becky to sign the contract and gets the crowd to start a “sign it” chant. Lynch gets defensive and gets snippy with the crowd. Becky gives in and signs the contract, she throws it at Belair, but she catches it. Becky leaves the ring holding the title up.

 

Edge vs. Seth Rollins – SummerSlam Rematch

 

The bells sounds, and Seth is in control in the early going taking it to the WWE Hall of Famer. Rollins beat up Edge on the outside of the ring. When they go back into the squared circle Rollins hit Edge with a flying knee. Rollins continues to beat down Edge, he hits him with a Glamslam twice.

 

Edge and Rollins fight back and forth. Edge connects with a Pedigree out of nowhere. Rollins goes to the outside and Edge jumps from the top rope hitting a dive. Back in the ring Edge plants Rollins with a Full Nelson Slam. Edge goes back up to the top rope, Rollins runs up and tries to hit a superplex, but Edge slams him down. After Edge was off the top rope he locked Seth in a submission, but Rollins countered. Moments later Edge put Rollin in a Crossface, but the hold was broken due to Rollins reaching the rope.

 

Edge would hit an Edgeucution. Rollins fought back and attacked Edge’s neck he went for a stomp, but Edge countered with a powerbomb. Rollins went back on the attack again and hit a buckle bomb, he went for the stomp, but Edge hit a spear, Rollins kicked out of the pin. 

 

The fight continued Edge and Rollins sandwiched the referee in the corner and she didn’t see Rollins hit a low blow. Rollins would hit Edge with numerous kicks. Edge tried to drag himself up and Seth hit the stomp to win the match.

 

Following the bell, the referee called out EMTs to bring a stretcher out for Edge.

 

Winner: Seth Rollins

 

We see Edge being lifted from the stretcher into the ambulance when SmackDown returned from their break.

 

Seth is interviewed and says he is shocked at what happened and doesn’t know how he feels.

 

Roman Reigns is in his dressing room with The Usos. He gives them a pep talk. Roman turns to Paul Heyman and says he saved him, and then he asked him why he didn’t tell him that Brock was at SummerSlam. Heyman doesn’t answer the question as he stays quiet.

The Street Profits vs. The Usos (C) – SmackDown Tag Team Championship

 

Montez Ford and Jimmy Uso start the match, Ford gets an early attack in, but he gets distracted by Jey. Ford ends up on the outside and Jimmy hits him with a suicide dive. Angelo Dawkins is tagged in, he and Jimmy exchange punches. Dawkins gets beat up by both Jimmy and Jey after Jey was tagged in. Jey and Jimmy tag in and out being up on Dawkins. Dawkins fights back and sends both Usos to the floor. Montez Ford is tagged in and hit a massive dive. Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman came down to ringside as the show went to a commercial.

 

Roman watches on as both teams fight back and forth. Montez Ford hits Jimmy with a crossbody. Montez Ford loses his shoe and does well fighting Jimmy with one shoe. Angelo Dawkins is tagged in, he and Ford hit a doomsday device neck breaker. Dawkins gets hit with a wicked superkick from Jey Uso who was tagged in. After taking out Montez Ford, The Usos hit Dawkins with superkicks and a splash, but he kicked out. 

 

The match ended in a disqualification after Montez Ford hit Jimmy Uso with a splash and Roman Reigns came into the ring attacking Ford.

 

Winner: The Street Profits

 

Reigns gets on the mic, and he accepts Brock’s challenge after he is done smashing Finn Balor. The lights go out and “The Demon” Finn Balor made his return. Balor will bring “The Demon” out at Extreme Rules. Balor and Reigns have a staredown and the show goes off the air.
