Final Score: 4-3

Alek Manoah delivered what was a sub-optimal performance by his standards Sunday afternoon as the Blue Jays dropped the final of four games against the Guardians, 4-3. The loss seals the deal on their second series loss of the season, following their 3 game split with the Yankees just last week.

Manoah delivered 5 full innings allowing two runs on five hits while striking out just three. Teoscar Hernandez reminded everyone he was back, delivering an RBI single in the first to give Toronto a 2-0 lead.

The lead would remain until the third inning when Jose Ramirez would smack an RBI triple to bring around Steven Kwan, before Owen Miller brought Ramirez around with a sacrifice fly to tie it all up at 2.

This one would remain that way until Geor Spring brought home Santiago Espinal with a sacrifice fly of his own to give Toronto the edge. But late life from Cleveland saw Owen Miller once again tie the game with a solo shot in the bottom of the eighth, before Oscar Mercado brought around the go-ahead run for Cleveland.

Toronto will now have their first day off Monday after a run of 20 straight games, before they head to New York to take on the first in the AL East Yankees.
