August is only two weeks away and the Yankees and Red Sox are tied for last place in the AL East at 50-44. They are both on pace to win 86 games and tie for last place at the end of the season, incredible. In a tale of two extremes, in the American League alone, we’re looking at the potential of having a division winner finish under .500.  The Minnesota Twins are in first place in the AL Central but are just 2 games over .500.  And this weekend was the first time they have been 2 games over since June.
