Boston - Nine is the number as Raptors fall 121-102 to Celtics and lock up play-in position
Toronto had a chance to improve their play-in position but even without Jaylen Brown in the line up, the Celtics out classed the Raptors from the opening tip to the final buzzer.
Boston led 68-40 at halftime and it didn’t seem that close. The Celtics were perfect in the first half on two point field goal attempts and red hot from everywhere else.
Sam Hauser led Boston with 26 points and the Raptors suffered another poor shooting night which included 3-11 from Fred VanVleet and 3-10 from both OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes en route to a team 43% from the field and 29% from beyond the arc.
With this loss the Raptors are locked into the 9th and will have to win a home game against the Bulls and a road game versus the loser of the Atlanta vs Heat game, if they are to earn a chance in playoffs.
Fluent Finale: Toronto missed nine of its first eleven shots from the field and trailed by as much 36 in the first half.
Now you’re more fluent!
