Game 1 was the first NBA finals game in Nuggets Franchise hisotry, and they did not dissapoint their fanbase - winning by 11, 104-93. From the opening tip Denver used their size advantage to body and bully the Heat, which helped them get out to an early lead and they never looked back.  They led by double digits for the majority of the game, and were in control by 24 in the 3rd quarter. Miami went on a few runs in the second half and at one point in the 4th quarter they got the defciet down to 9, but the outcome was never really in question

Niola Jokic had a triple-double in his first Finals game with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists on 8/12 shooting from the field (66.7%).  Jamal Murray provided 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 10 asists and Aaron gordon had 16.  The Nuggets shot 51.3 from the field, but did struggle from beyon dthe arc, shooting 29%.

The heat were cold from everywhere it seemed, and shot 40.3% from the field as a team. Bam Adebayo led the heat with 26 points and 13 rebounds; he really played his best game of this postseason.  Jimmy Butler looked gassed and had 13 points on 14 shots.  Butler needs to take more shots

Jokic  was simply dominant all night long.  He only took 3 shots in the first half, and the nuggets were up by 17 at the break.  He's making a case that he's the most dominant big man of this era.

Game 2 tips off at 8pm this Sunday (6/4) at Ball Arena in Denver.
