RAPTORS 93 @ CAVS 118
Pascal Siakam had a 25 point 8 rebound performance in what could be best described as another inconsistent Raptors performance. After a tight win over the lowly Pistons, the Raptors headed into Cleveland with a chance to make up some ground in the standings, or if nothing else keep pace with the Hawks. They are now 4-6 on the back end of back to backs this season. The shine of reuniting Siakam and Jakob Poeltl seemed to have lost some of its luster as well. Don’t let the 118-93 score fool you, it didn’t seem as competitive as a 25 point blowout.
Fluent figures that matter: Raptors 38.7% from the field and 36% from the arc while giving up 52.4% and 50% is as lopsided as it gets for the Raptors this season.
A team who’s roster is built on length, switch-ability, team defence, sharing the ball and transition baskets could only muster 19 assists compared to their 14 turnovers.
If this team expects to make a run in the playoffs, the consistency on both ends of the floor will have to take a major leap as eyes will be on Nick Nurse and his squad.
Now you're more fluent!
