With comments from Tristan Thompson giving Lowry and the Raptors a backhanded compliment today, this win must have felt even more sweet.

Toronto picks up their second win in a row against the Cavs.
There was no Fred VanVleet tonight as he is still out due to a knee injury. This is his fourth game in a row that he has missed.Does the team miss him? Of course. I would actually rather start “Steady Freddy” over Lowry, to be honest. VanVleet is averaging 18 ppg.
Fun Fact: Fred leads the team in steals with 44, followed closely by his pals OG with 21 and Norman Powell with 26. He also leads the team in assists with 7 apg.
Without Lebron the Cavs are looking almost like the Knicks at this point. Cleveland started off strong and even putting up the first 3 pts of the game. It was the coolest cowboy (Kevin Love) who drained a quick three ball with the assist from Collin Sexton. This was actually the first and last time they would have a lead in the game. Love would actually only hit two more buckets and end with 9 pts. The least of all starters. Sexton on the other hand would put up a team high 25 pts, going 10/16 from the field. So even though this Cavs team aren’t impressive now, they do have the opportunity to rebuild and get there in a couple years.
The Cavs went on a 5-0 run to start to open the second half and bring them within 10 pts of the Raptors. Walking up to the table was Lowry to bring some magic and not let the 13th place Cavs get too close.
Toronto would outscore the Cavs in every quarter and it wasn’t just because of the usual suspects . Do you remember Patrick McCaw? The Patrick McCaw who for every year in the league so far as been an NBA Champion? Yeah, well Coach Nurse would call on McCaw to get in the game and show them what he can do. Now, he was called on because of his good defence but his offence tonight was what really made the impact. McCaw went 2/2 from beyond the arc.
Pascal Siakam would have yet another impressive game with 33 pts in just thirty-five minutes. Does he have a chance to beat out Giannis for MVP?
Toronto heads across the border to Detroit where they will play “D.Rose” and the Pistons. Don’t forget that Coach Casey was the one who passed the torch to Nick Nurse and may remember a thing or two about this Toronto squad. So, this could actually be a closer game than you may think!
