Game Preview: Leafs continue home stand against Tampa
The Toronto Maple Leafs (5-4-2) continue their five-game home stand tonight when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning (5-3-3).
The Maple Leafs enter the game on a four-game losing streak. The club lost to the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.
Nick Robertson has been called up and will be in the lineup. He will be on a line with Max Domi and Callie Jarnkrok.
Matthew Knies will get a chance on the first line with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
The last time Toronto and Tampa played was three weeks ago when Toronto came back from a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3 in overtime.
Tampa is coming into Toronto after beating the Ottawa Senators on Saturday 6-4. Tyler Motte will return to the Lightning lineup after getting injured in the first game of the season.
Ilya Samsonov and Jonas Johansson will be the starting goaltenders.
Tonight’s game will start at 7:00 p.m. on Sportsnet Ontario.
