The Toronto Maple Leafs (5-2-0) will close out a five-game road trip tonight against the Nashville Predators (3-4-0).

Toronto is coming off a 4-1 in Dallas on Thursday night. They will look to extend their three-game winning streak.

Jake McCabe will not be in the lineup. He left the game with an injury in his first shift against Dallas. Head Coach Sheldon Keefe provided an update: “Should be back before too long.”

William Nylander and John Tavares will both look to keep their seven-game point streaks intact.

Ilya Samsonov will be the starter tonight for Toronto. Samsonov talked about his early season struggles, saying it’s been a struggling time for him mentally: “I’m saying I feel great, it’s not true. I feel (like) s*** … (But) I’m a guy who will be fighting through this. I will be fighting every day.” He will look to go 3-1-0 on the season.

Juuse Saros will be in the net for Nashville.

The puck drop will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sportsnet/CBC.
