HOT DOG EATING
Joey Chestnut, the GOAT of professional eating, won’t be able to compete in Nathan’s Famous hot dog eating contest, a July 4th tradition. The 16-time winner of the famous “Mustard Belt” signed a deal with the plant-based Impossible Foods company, and even though Impossible had no issue with Chestnut competing, Nathan’s Famous demanded loyalty and balked at the idea. Joey wrote on Instagram, he “was very disappointed to learn from the media today that after nearly 20 years I am banned from the Nathan’s 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest. I love competing in that event, I love celebrating America with my fans all over this great country on the 4th and I have been training to defend my title.”
BASKETBALL
The Celtics have a 2-0 lead over the Dallas Mavericks, but tonight’s game could be difficult if Kristaps Porzingis isn’t cleared to play. Porzingis has a tear in his ankle which could cause dislocation of his tendon.
