The road to AEW Redemption intensified on Wednesday night as AEW Dynamite aired live from the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston. A new World Champion celebrated, championship matches were announced, and several major rivalries 

Kenny Omega’s Championship Celebration

New AEW World Champion Kenny Omega opened the show, thanking the fans for supporting him throughout his journey back to the top. The celebration was interrupted by Will Ospreay, who congratulated Omega before reminding everyone that the Owen Cup winner is destined for a future World Title opportunity at Wembley Stadium.

The segment took another turn when Kevin Knight confronted Omega, cashing in on a promised championship opportunity. Omega accepted the challenge, making Omega vs. Kevin Knight official for AEW Redemption. 

AEW World Tag Team Championship

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage (c) defeated The Death Riders to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

After the match, chaos erupted as the Young Bucks, Bang Bang Gang, and several other teams brawled, signaling an increasingly crowded tag team title picture heading toward Redemption. 

Andrade Earns a Championship Opportunity

Andrade El Idolo defeated Jake Doyle to become the No. 1 contender for the AEW National Championship.

Following the victory, champion Mark Davis confronted Andrade, officially setting up their title match at Redemption. 

International Championship

Kyle Fletcher (c) retained the AEW International Championship against Komander in an exciting showcase.

Following the match, Konosuke Takeshita appeared, creating further tension around Fletcher’s championship reign. 

Darby Allin Defeats Brian Cage

In one of the night’s most physical contests, Darby Allin defeated Brian Cage after surviving a punishing battle. The win keeps Allin firmly in the championship conversation heading into the summer. 

Women’s Trios Main Event

Mercedes Moné, alongside Divine Dominion, battled Willow Nightingale, Hyan, and Maya World in the night’s main event.

The match continued the growing rivalry between Moné and Willow while further building the women’s division ahead of Redemption. 

Other Highlights

Bandido & Brody King picked up a tag team victory.

AEW announced Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa for Redemption.

Bandido will challenge Kyle Fletcher for the AEW International Championship at the pay-per-view
