Charles McAdoo provided the game’s key offensive moment with a home run, helping Toronto build a 2–0 lead. The Blue Jays finished with 7 hits, while Boston managed six.
Taillon sharp before injury
Jameson Taillon was excellent early, throwing four scoreless innings before leaving the game with an injury. Toronto’s bullpen then took over and protected the narrow advantage.

Roster moves
Toronto also made several roster moves Monday, including recalling Simeon Woods Richardson and McAdoo. Woods Richardson had thrown 10 scoreless innings in relief since joining Toronto.
