The Toronto Tempo dropped a 94–88 decision to the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night at College Park Center, extending Toronto’s losing streak to 10 games. The Tempo fall to 10–23 on the season.
Toronto stayed within striking distance, but Dallas controlled enough of the game to withstand a late Tempo push. The Wings reached the 20-win mark, while Toronto again found itself trying to overcome a deficit in the fourth quarter.
Marina Mabrey: led Toronto with 23 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter as the Tempo mounted their comeback.
Paige Bueckers: exploded for 22 points, scoring all 22 in the second half, along with eight assists, to lead Dallas.
Alanna Smith: added 13 points and 11 rebounds for Dallas.
Awak Kuier: contributed 14 points for the Wings.
The loss is another frustrating result for Toronto, which is now 10–23 and has lost 10 consecutive games. The Tempo will need to regroup quickly with the final stretch of their inaugural season approaching.
