Milwaukee Brewers 7, Los Angeles Dodgers 4

Monday, October 12, 2026 · American Family Field, Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Brewers continued their impressive postseason run Monday night, defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 7–4 in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series.

William Contreras delivered the decisive offensive performance, while Milwaukee’s bullpen shut down Los Angeles over the final five innings to give the Brewers a commanding 2–0 series lead.

The defending World Series champions had opportunities to take control, but Milwaukee repeatedly answered every Dodgers scoring push.

Contreras led the Brewers with three hits and three RBIs, including a game-tying home run in the fifth inning and a go-ahead single in the sixth.

Christian Yelich also played a major role, driving in two runs with a third-inning single that helped Milwaukee take an early lead.

The Brewers finished with 12 hits, consistently applying pressure to the Los Angeles pitching staff.

First inning: The Dodgers struck first on Teoscar Hernández’s sacrifice fly, but Contreras answered with an RBI single to tie the game at 1–1.

Third inning: Los Angeles regained the advantage after a throwing error by Milwaukee starter Logan Henderson. The Brewers responded with Yelich’s two-run single, moving ahead 3–2.

Fifth inning: The Dodgers briefly turned the game around, taking a 4–3 lead on a combination of a Kyle Tucker double, defensive miscue and Freddie Freeman’s sacrifice fly.

Contreras then launched a solo home run to even the score at 4–4.

Sixth inning: Contreras delivered again with an RBI single, putting Milwaukee ahead 5–4 and giving the Brewers a lead they would not surrender.

Eighth inning: Brice Turang singled home another run before Jake Bauers added an RBI single, extending the advantage to 7–4.

Ninth inning: Aaron Ashby closed out the victory, striking out Miguel Rojas to secure the save

The Brewers now lead the best-of-seven NLCS two games to none, putting the two-time defending champions under immediate pressure.

Milwaukee has combined timely hitting, disciplined at-bats and dominant relief pitching to take control of the matchup.

For Los Angeles, the primary concern is its struggling offense.

Shohei Ohtani and Will Smith have had difficulty producing consistently, and the Dodgers need better results with runners in scoring position to get back into the series.
