Game-by-game breakdown

1. Edmonton Elks 27, Hamilton Tiger-Cats 12

Edmonton delivered a decisive road victory at Tim Hortons Field, using a strong defensive performance and a fourth-quarter offensive surge to pull away from Hamilton.

Quarterback Cody Fajardo completed 16 of 25 passes for 229 yards and added a rushing touchdown.

Edmonton scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, turning a competitive defensive contest into a convincing victory.

The Elks improved to 12–4 and secured the right to host a playoff game for the first time since 2015. Hamilton fell to 5–12.

2. BC Lions 41, Ottawa REDBLACKS 20

BC took care of business at home, defeating Ottawa to secure its place in the postseason.

The Lions established control early and maintained their advantage with an effective offensive performance.

The victory was particularly important for BC’s Western Division ambitions, keeping the club in contention for a higher playoff seed.

Ottawa continued to struggle through a difficult season, dropping to 0–16 according to the published Week 19 scoreboard.

The result confirmed that the Lions would continue their season beyond the regular-season schedule.

3. Winnipeg Blue Bombers 33, Calgary Stampeders 28

Winnipeg earned a valuable home victory in one of the weekend’s most important games.

Zach Collaros returned to the lineup and delivered an impressive passing performance, completing 19 of 27 attempts for 349 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Calgary quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 283 yards and a touchdown, while the Stampeders remained within striking distance throughout the contest.

Winnipeg’s ability to make key plays in the passing game proved decisive.

The Blue Bombers improved to 8–8, while Calgary dropped to 8–9, leaving both teams facing important challenges in the final stretch.

The Montreal Alouettes closed Thanksgiving Weekend in emphatic fashion, defeating the Saskatchewan Roughriders 44–24 at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium.

Quarterback Davis Alexander delivered the outstanding individual performance of the week, throwing for 403 yards and five touchdowns. It was the first five-touchdown passing game of his career, and his performance helped Montreal finish its regular-season home schedule with a perfect 9–0 record.

The afternoon did not begin perfectly for Alexander, who threw an interception to Saskatchewan defensive back Marcus Sayles.

However, the Montreal quarterback settled into the game and found his rhythm, repeatedly attacking the Roughriders’ secondary.

Receiver Jerreth Sterns led the Alouettes with 124 receiving yards, while Charleston Rambo, Tyson Philpot and Tyler Snead each reached the end zone.

Montreal’s explosive passing game proved too much for Saskatchewan to contain.

The Alouettes consistently generated big plays, including three touchdown passes of at least 45 yards, and pulled away to finish with 44 points.

The victory improved Montreal’s record to 13–3 and reinforced its status as one of the CFL’s leading championship contenders.

Key takeaway: Alexander’s five-touchdown performance highlighted Montreal’s offensive firepower.

A perfect home record also gave the Alouettes considerable momentum heading toward the playoffs.

The weekend significantly shaped the Western Division race, while the Eastern Division’s top two positions were already settled.

The Elks secured a home playoff game, a major milestone for a franchise seeking to re-establish itself as a Western Division contender.

3. Winnipeg stays in the hunt

The Blue Bombers’ five-point win over Calgary kept them competitive in the Western Division race while dealing the Stampeders a costly defeat.

Week 19 belonged to the teams that made the most of their opportunities.

Edmonton secured a home playoff game, BC continued its push toward the postseason, and Winnipeg earned an important victory over Calgary.

Montreal then delivered the weekend’s biggest offensive statement with a dominant Thanksgiving performance.

Alexander’s five touchdown passes were the individual highlight, but the wider story was the increasingly competitive Western Division race.

With the regular season nearing its conclusion, the remaining games will determine the final playoff positions and the road to the 113th Grey Cup.
