Omos crushes Rey Mysterio as Los Perros del Mal capture the World Trios Championship
PARADISE, Nevada — September 11,

AAA TripleManía 34 opened its two-night spectacular at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with championship changes, major WWE crossover appearances and a brutal main event. The biggest story of the night was Omos defeating AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio, earning reinstatement to AAA and leaving Mysterio badly beaten after the match.
Opening Match
Adelicious, Mini Vikingo & Mascarita Sagrada def. Lady Shani, Jack Cartwheel & Mini Abismo Negro
The evening began with an energetic Relevos Australianos six-person tag. Mini Vikingo eventually scored the decisive fall on Mini Abismo Negro following a Shooting Star Press.
The match also featured an early scare when Lady Shani went down after Adelicious avoided an attack and inadvertently caught her with a boot. Medical personnel checked Shani before she was helped backstage.

Los Americanos Win Elimination Battle
Los Americanos def. LWO, Tokyo Bad Boys & Fraxiom
The four-way elimination tag team contest was filled with fast exchanges and tension between the teams.
LWO were eliminated first after Fraxiom caught Cruz Del Toro with a combination involving a leg sweep and missile dropkick. Del Toro subsequently abandoned Joaquin Wilde, leaving the former partners with clear issues between them.
Fraxiom then eliminated the Tokyo Bad Boys, setting up a final battle with Los Americanos.
Los Americanos ultimately eliminated Nathan Frazer to win the match.

Roxanne Perez Earns Championship Opportunity
Roxanne Perez def. Faby Apache, Natalya & La Hiedra
The winner of this Fatal Four-Way earned a shot at the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide.
Perez survived a dangerous four-way battle and capitalized on confusion involving champion Lady Flammer and La Hiedra. Perez avoided Flammer’s attempted interference and drove Hiedra into the champion before hitting the Pop Rox for the victory.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
Result: Perez becomes No. 1 contenders for the Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide.
La Parka Retains the Latin American Championship
La Parka def. Laredo Kid & Mr. Iguana — AAA Latin American Championship
The championship triple threat produced one of the night’s most competitive title matches. Laredo Kid and Mr. Iguana repeatedly came close to taking the championship, but La Parka survived both challengers.
Parka ultimately hit the Bone Breaker on Laredo Kid and secured the three-count.
Winner: La Parka
Result: La Parka retained the AAA Latin American Championship.

Los Perros del Mal Capture the Trios Titles
Los Perros del Mal def. Los Psycho Circus — AAA World Trios Championship
The first championship change of TripleManía 34 came when Daga, Angel and Berto defeated the reigning Psycho Circus.
The match took a chaotic turn when El Carnicero attacked Dave the Clown from the crowd. Psycho Clown left the ringside area to confront Carnicero, leaving Dave and Murder Clown at a disadvantage.
Los Perros del Mal took advantage and eventually finished Murder Clown. Daga’s Diving Double Foot Stomp helped set up Angel’s decisive pinfall.
Winners: Los Perros del Mal
Result: New AAA World Trios Champions

Main Event
Omos Defeats Rey Mysterio
The stakes could hardly have been higher. If Omos won, his AAA suspension would be lifted. If Rey Mysterio won, Omos would be permanently banned from AAA.
Mysterio attempted to use his speed and experience to neutralize the enormous Omos, while El Grande Americano watched his back. Omos, however, had the numbers advantage with Dominik Mysterio and Dorian Roldán in his corner.
Dominik repeatedly interfered before being confronted by Americano. Dominik then used a chair against Americano, leaving him hurt and unable to properly assist Rey.
Mysterio fought through the interference but ultimately could not overcome Omos’ size and power.
Omos delivered a Chokeslam and scored the three-count.
Winner: Omos by pinfall

Result: Omos is reinstated as an AAA wrestler.
But the assault did not end with the bell.
Omos and Dominik continued attacking Mysterio as medical personnel attempted to remove him from ringside. Omos eventually lifted the injured Rey and Chokeslammed him through the Spanish commentary table, leaving the AAA General Manager laid out as TripleManía 34 Night 1 went off the air.

The two-night event now moves toward Night 2 in Mexico City, where Dominik Mysterio will defend the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano, while Flammer defends the Reina de Reinas Championship against La Catalina and Rey Fenix puts the World Cruiserweight Championship on the line.
