Last night was simply unforgettable. The Toronto Blue Jays kicked off the World Series with an explosive 11-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Rogers Centre. This Canada’s team moment felt historic from first pitch to final out.

The Dodgers grabbed a 2-0 lead early, but the Jays answered in style:
- Daulton Varsho launched a two-run homer in the 4th to tie the game, marking Toronto’s first World Series home run since 1993!
- Then came the sixth inning as this is the one everyone will talk about for a long time. The Jays totally erupted for nine runs, including the first pinch-hit grand slam in World Series history by Addison Barger!
- Alejandro Kirk followed it up with a two-run shot and finished 3-for-3 with a walk. The lineup was locked in, the crowd was raucous, and the stage felt right!

I’ve worn the cap through sunny days and long playoff droughts. I’ve cheered, sat in silence, and waited for a night like thi,s and last night delivered. Watching this team step into the spotlight, owning it, and feeling like it belonged was truly electric.
The city felt alive. The fans felt alive. In this moment, the team felt like ours. This is Canada’s team and they are ready to leave their mark. I’ll be back at the stadium, back on the couch, back cheering like no one else is watching because yes, there are millions watching, but right now we feel like the only ones.
