Finale of Blue Jays-Red Sox series postponed after rain delay

Game two of the series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox was scheduled for Wednesday night. But unfortunately for both clubs, the game was delayed, then ultimately suspended due to heavy downpour in Boston. The game will be played as part of a doubleheader on August 26 when the Blue Jays visit Boston again.

The game did however start and was played until the top of the 2nd inning. Neither team put a run on the board and the game was left with no score.

The Blue Jays were hoping to end their road trip with a potential series win, but they will head back North to take on the division leading New York Yankees.

The Jays are scheduled to send Jose Berrios (6-6, 3.43) to face Carlos Rodon (9-4, 3.86) for the Yankees in the first of four games tomorrow night.
