Heat use second half surge to knock off Raptors

The Miami Heat defeat the Toronto Raptors 121-111 Friday night in Miami. 

The Heat shot 38.9 percent in the victory; Jimmy Butler scored a game high with 26 points, while Tyler Herro added 23; and center Bam Adebayo recorded his first triple-double of the season; he finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Off the bench, Jaime Jaquez Jr. scored 15 points on just nine shots. 

RJ Barrett scored a team-high 25 points, while Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl both scored 24 in the loss.

The Raps now fall to 5-15 and 0-3 in the NBA Cup; they were already eliminated before tonight’s game. The Heat will now travel to Toronto on Sunday as the two face off in a home-and-home doubleheader.
