BASKETBALL

It’s the end of an era in the Golden State. Klay Thompson announced he’s leaving the Warriors and heading to Dallas ending a memorable 13 year run. Thompson and Steph Curry (affectionately known as the “Splash Brothers”) combined their shooting talents to win four NBA titles and appear in six NBA Finals.

ESPYS

Prince Harry will receive the Pat Tillman award for Service at the ESPYS  on July 11th, but not everyone is happy about it. Tillman’s mother said she was “shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award“ and there are recipients who “are far more fitting.”

NASCAR

Alon Day, the only Israeli driver in NASCAR, will recognize the plight of the hostages still held in Gaza by Hamas at the NASCAR Xfinity Series in Chicago on Saturday. Day’s car will have a Jet Support Services-branded wrap in blue and white (colors of the Israeli flag) and the Hebrew word for life חי emblazoned on the car. Day said he has five friends who are among the 116 still being held hostage. He told Fox News Digital, “It was shocking to me, not only to see that swell of hate and antisemitism in the United States, it was shocking that it came in response to the worst attack on Israel and the Jewish people since the Holocaust. I feel a little embarrassed from my own naivety. I did not forsee that kind of response from forces within the United States and around the world.”
