Mavericks take down Timberwolves in game five to advance to NBA finals

The Dallas Mavericks advance to their first NBA finals since 2011 following a 124-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday night in Minnesota.

Once again, the stars came out for Dallas, with both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving having 36 points, with Doncic also adding 10 rebounds. Doncic is also only the sixth player in NBA history to lead their team in points, rebounds, and assists while reaching the finals. The guard was also named conference final MVP.

The Mavericks will now travel to Boston for game one of the finals, which gets underway on June 6th.
