Will Power’s incredible comeback
The drive of the day may have belonged to Will Power. After starting 25th and last on the grid, Power fought all the way through the field to finish third, completing an extraordinary comeback and giving Andretti a double podium.
🇨🇦 A historic Markham weekend
The race was the first IndyCar event on the Streets of Markham, a 12-turn, 2.19-mile temporary street circuit. The 90-lap race covered 197.1 miles (317.2 km).
The weekend had plenty of drama before the green flag, including track-construction delays and a heavily disrupted opening day.
Ericsson’s victory was the headline, but Power’s last-to-third charge was the performance that stole the show. Grosjean came agonizingly close to his first IndyCar win, while Ericsson finally ended his 63-race winless drought.
