ROH Death Before Dishonor delivered a championship-heavy night in Philadelphia, featuring major title changes, hard-hitting Pure Wrestling action and dramatic developments that could have consequences beyond Ring of Honor.
The biggest surprise came in the Fight Without Honor match, where Action Andretti defeated Lio Rush to become the new ROH World Television Champion.
The chaotic contest featured weapons, interference and a controversial finish involving Hook, ending Rush’s championship reign.
Another championship changed hands when The Lethal Twist — Jay Lethal, Blake Christian and Lee Johnson — defeated Dalton Castle and The Outrunners to capture the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
The victory was especially historic for Lethal, who became the first wrestler to win all five men’s championships in ROH.
In the main championship matches, Bandido retained the ROH World Championship against Nick Wayne,
Athena defeated Hazuki to retain the ROH Women’s World Championship.
Other results saw Lee Moriarty retain the ROH Pure Championship against Katsuyori Shibata,
Deonna Purrazzo retain the ROH Women’s Pure Championship against Steph De Lander, and Red Velvet retain the ROH Women’s World Television Championship in a four-way match against Skye Blue, Marina Shafir and Zayda Steel.
The ROH World Tag Team Champions, El Sky Team — Mistico and Mascara Dorada — retained in a four-way match against La Facción Ingobernable, The Kingdom and Top Flight.
A significant AEW development also took place when Daniel Garcia defeated Adam Priest in a Continental Challenge Cup play-in match, earning his way into the tournament following Eddie Kingston’s withdrawal.
