Back home on February 1, Toronto regrouped and handled Utah in a controlled, physical game. It was not flashy. It was disciplined.
RJ Barrett led the way with 21 points, attacking downhill and finishing through contact. Sandro Mamukelashvili added 20 points, stretching the floor and keeping Utah’s defense honest. Brandon Ingram scored 19, and Immanuel Quickley chipped in 17 points.
Defensively, Scottie Barnes made his presence felt with 14 points, nine rebounds and four blocks, impacting the game well beyond scoring.
Utah’s Lauri Markkanen had a strong outing with 27 points and 11 rebounds, and Isaiah Collier added 19 points, but Toronto’s balanced scoring and late execution sealed it.
After the Orlando collapse, this was a much needed stabilizer.
