The Oklahoma City Thunder have taken a 1-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks following their 117-95 victory in Oklahoma on Tuesday night.
All-Star Point Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a near triple-double with 29 points, nine assists, and nine rebounds. Rookie Chet Holmgren scored 19 points and added seven rebounds in the Thunder’s dominating Game One display. Defensively, the Thunder held guards Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic to a combined 39 points, with the latter shooting just 6/19 from the field.
Game two will take place in Oklahoma City on Thursday night.
