Week 10 has delivered a strong mix of statement wins, quarterback fireworks and late-game drama. With all four games now completed, Montreal remains the class of the CFL, while Saskatchewan continues to strengthen its position in the West.
Game of the Week: BC Lions 27, Hamilton Tiger-Cats 24
The BC Lions got revenge for their earlier loss to Hamilton, winning a thriller at BC Place on a late Sean Whyte field goal. Whyte’s kick with 30 seconds remaining provided the difference.
Nathan Rourke’s return was a major storyline. He threw for 370 yards and two touchdowns, while Zander Horvath scored twice for BC. Justin McInnis also produced a huge game with 159 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Big takeaway: BC finally got a signature victory and moved back into the playoff conversation.
Montreal 48, Edmonton 30
Montreal put together perhaps the most impressive performance of Week 10.
Davis Alexander threw for 352 yards and four touchdowns, while Tyson Philpot caught three touchdown passes and finished with 131 yards. Tyler Snead added 146 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The Alouettes turned a competitive first half into a rout after halftime, using turnovers to seize control.
Montreal improved to 8–1, while Edmonton fell to 6–3.
The Alouettes look like the CFL’s most complete team. Their offense has now scored at least 30 points in all but one game this season.
Saskatchewan 42, Ottawa 20
The Saskatchewan Roughriders continued their excellent season by running away from the REDBLACKS in Regina.
Saskatchewan won the turnover battle and received major contributions from both quarterbacks late in the contest.
Ottawa remains winless, while Saskatchewan continues to establish itself as one of the West Division’s top contenders.
Toronto 33, Calgary 30
The Toronto Argonauts opened Week 10 with an exciting home victory over Calgary at BMO Field.
Toronto rallied for a 33–30 win, with Samuel Hicks scoring two touchdowns. The Argos improved to 4–4, while Calgary dropped to 4–5.
Big takeaway: Toronto has put itself firmly back into the playoff discussion. The Argos’ offense continues to be dangerous, but defensive consistency remains the major concern.
Week 10 MVP
Davis Alexander, Montreal Alouettes
Four touchdown passes, 352 passing yards and another dominant performance against one of the CFL’s strongest teams make Alexander the clear choice.
