UFC 330: Makhachev vs. Machado Garry goes down Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. The main card begins at 9 p.m. ET, with prelims at 7 p.m. ET and early prelims at 5:30 p.m. ET.
Main Event — Welterweight Championship
Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry
This is a fascinating clash of styles. Makhachev enters as the champion and one of the most accomplished pound-for-pound fighters in MMA. He is riding a 16-fight winning streak and is looking to establish himself as the dominant force at 170 pounds after his move up from lightweight.
Machado Garry presents a very different challenge. The Irish contender is 17-1 and owns significant advantages in height and reach. His ability to keep the fight at distance, force Makhachev to work on the feet and defend takedowns
Can Machado Garry maintain enough distance to stop Makhachev from getting his wrestling game going?
My prediction: Makhachev by submission, Round 3. His wrestling, top control and submission game make him extremely difficult to survive against for five rounds.
Co-Main Event — Women’s Strawweight Championship
Mackenzie Dern vs. Gillian Robertson
Dern makes her first defense of the strawweight championship against one of the division’s most dangerous submission specialists. Robertson has won five straight, while Dern enters on a three-fight winning streak.
This could become a grappling chess match. Dern’s jiu-jitsu is elite, but Robertson’s chain wrestling and ability to maintain top position could make this particularly difficult.
Prediction: Dern by decision.
Other Main Card Fights
Edson Barboza vs. Esteban Ribovics —
A dangerous lightweight striking matchup. Barboza brings legendary kicking ability and veteran experience, while Ribovics is younger and more aggressive.
Mansur Abdul-Malik vs. Dustin Stoltzfus — A middleweight fight with potential implications for both men’s position in the division.
Charles Johnson vs. Jose Ochoa — A fast-paced flyweight matchup that could be one of the night’s sleeper fights.
Vicente Luque could be one of the most intriguing names on the prelims. The former welterweight contender has moved to middleweight and faces Tresean Gore. Luque is coming off a submission victory over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 327.
