The UFC returns to Las Vegas this Saturday with a pivotal middleweight main event as fourth-ranked contender Brendan Allen faces tenth-ranked Christian Leroy Duncan.

The five-round matchup headlines a card featuring lightweight prospects, experienced veterans and several bouts with significant implications for the fighters’ future in the promotion.

Allen brings a strong submission game, extensive experience against high-level opposition and the ability to turn a striking exchange into a grappling battle.

He enters on a three-fight winning streak and will aim to use his wrestling and ground control to neutralize Duncan’s offense.

Christian Leroy Duncan

England | 15–2 record

UFC middleweight contender No. 10

Duncan is a dynamic striker with knockout power and considerable confidence after five straight victories.

Recent wins over Roman Dolidze and Jared Cannonier have helped establish him as a serious contender.

His challenge is to keep the fight at a range where his striking can flourish

Three keys to victory

Allen — Get the fight to the ground.

His submission ability and grappling pressure could be the decisive advantage if he can consistently complete takedowns.

Duncan — Defend the takedown.

Maintaining distance and making Allen pay for failed entries will be crucial to keeping the contest in his preferred striking range.

Both fighters — Manage five rounds. Allen must avoid unnecessary exchanges, while Duncan needs to maintain his output and composure against a persistent grappler

Camilo will look to use his speed and offensive pressure to disrupt Herbert.

The experienced British fighter will aim to use his reach, distance management and counterstriking to produce an important victory.

Godinez vs. Souza: A key opportunity for Godinez to strengthen her position in the women’s strawweight division.

Bottom line: UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Duncan offers a meaningful middleweight test, with Allen looking to move closer to a title opportunity and Duncan hoping to break into the division’s elite.

The main event should hinge on whether Allen can impose his grappling or Duncan can keep the fight standing and dictate the pace.
