MEDINAH, ILLINOIS — September 27, 2026 — The United States rallied from a three-point deficit entering Sunday to defeat the International Team 17–13 and retain the Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club.
International Team Takes Control
The International Team built a 10½–7½ lead heading into Sunday’s 12 singles matches. It was a significant position after the Internationals swept Friday’s five foursomes matches 5–0, moving ahead 7–3 after two sessions.
The Saturday sessions kept the International side three points ahead heading into the finale.
Sunday Singles Comeback
The Americans responded emphatically in singles, winning enough head-to-head matches to overturn the deficit and finish with 17 points.
Cameron Young delivered an important early point after rallying against Ryo Hisatsune, while the U.S. continued to build momentum across the singles board.
The comeback prevented the International Team from reaching the 15½ points required to win the Cup.
Canadian Connection
Canada was represented by Corey Conners and Nick Taylor, both of whom were part of the International Team’s strong Friday foursomes performance. Conners and Taylor defeated Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns, 1 up, during Friday’s session.
