Lucha Libre AAA’s Ola de Calor delivered a major final push toward Triplemanía 34, with championship changes, title contenders emerging and several major storylines taking shape. The August 30 show took place in Edinburg, Texas.
Major Results
La Parka won the Fatal 4-Way involving Damian Priest, El Fiscal and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. to become the new AAA Latin American Champion.
War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) retained the AAA World Tag Team Championship against Los Americanos (Rayo and Bravo Americano), using a controversial belt-assisted finish.
La Catalina won the Reina de Reinas No. 1 Contender’s Gauntlet and earned a championship match against Flammer at Triplemanía.
Mini Vikingo, Nathan Frazer and Jack Cartwheel wrestled to a draw, setting up a four-way Cruiserweight title match involving champion Rey Fénix.
El Carnicero continued his feud with Psycho Clown, setting up a Mexican Street Fight at Triplemanía.
In the main event, Penta, Rey Fénix and Dragon Lee defeated Los Perros del Mal (Daga, Angel and Berto).
Rey Mysterio & Omos
The biggest storyline development came during the AAA Mega Championship segment. Omos, appearing as a paying fan after his suspension, confronted Rey Mysterio. Rey ultimately challenged him to a match at Triplemanía.
The stipulation: if Rey wins, Omos must leave AAA; if Omos wins, his suspension is lifted.
Triplemanía 34 Takes Shape
The show successfully advanced several of AAA’s biggest Triplemanía stories, particularly Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano, the Flammer–Catalina women’s title program and the Omos–Rey Mysterio confrontation. Triplemanía 34 is scheduled as a two-night event in September.
