Grand Slam France delivers championship drama and major WrestleDream developments

PARIS, FRANCE — All Elite Wrestling brought Collision to the Adidas Arena in Paris for its Grand Slam France special on October 10, 2026.

The episode featured two championship defenses, a personal showdown between Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne, and several important developments heading into WrestleDream.

The Young Bucks and Andrade El Idolo successfully retained their championships, while the Clockwork Carnage qualifying series continued and the women’s tag team division gained a new title contender.

Match-by-match results

1. AEW World Tag Team Championship

Winners: The Young Bucks

Matt and Nick Jackson defeated Clark Connors and David Finlay of The Dogs to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

The challengers pushed the champions, but the Bucks escaped Paris with their gold intact.

After the match, Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight attacked the champions, escalating the rivalry ahead of WrestleDream.

2. Nick Wayne vs. Chris Jericho

Winner: Nick Wayne

Wayne scored an important victory over the veteran Jericho, reportedly finishing the contest with a Cutter.

The result strengthened Wayne’s position in their ongoing rivalry and delivered another significant moment for the younger wrestler

Winner: Swerve Strickland

Strickland defeated Bravo with a Double Stomp, adding another victory to his record.

The bout showcased Strickland’s explosiveness and ability to finish a match decisively.

4. Andrade defeated British standout Michael Oku to keep the AEW National Championship.

Oku presented a challenging test, but Andrade emerged with the title.

The celebration did not last long.

Tommaso Ciampa confronted Andrade afterward and made his intentions clear: he wants a championship opportunity at WrestleDream.

Overall assessment

AEW Collision’s Grand Slam France edition delivered a strong mix of championship wrestling, emerging talent and storyline progression.
