Bills survive Raiders rally to earn dramatic 33–30 victory

The Buffalo Bills escaped Las Vegas with a hard-fought 33–30 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, relying on Josh Allen’s playmaking ability, James Cook’s fourth-quarter touchdown and Tyler Bass’s reliable kicking to secure the road win.

Buffalo improved to 5–1, while Las Vegas dropped to 3–3 after pushing the Bills to the final moments.

The Raiders refused to go away, but Buffalo made the decisive plays when the game was on the line.

Buffalo and Las Vegas entered halftime tied 13–13.

Neither team managed to establish a commanding advantage, with both offenses finding ways to move the ball and keep pressure on the opposing defense.

Third quarter — Buffalo keeps pace

The teams continued exchanging scoring drives.

Buffalo’s ability to combine Allen’s passing with Cook’s running game kept the offense balanced, while Kirk Cousins helped Las Vegas remain within striking distance.

Fourth quarter — Allen and Cook deliver

With the score tied 23–23 in the fourth quarter, Allen produced a spectacular 12-yard touchdown pass to Keon Coleman on third-and-eight, keeping the Bills’ drive alive and delivering a crucial score.

Cook then powered into the end zone on a three-yard touchdown run with 4:43 remaining, putting Buffalo ahead.

Bass added a 38-yard field goal with 1:56 left to extend the lead to 33–23.

The Raiders answered when Cousins connected with Tre Tucker for a 44-yard touchdown with 1:32 remaining.

Las Vegas attempted an onside kick, but Khalil Shakir recovered it for Buffalo, allowing the Bills to close out the 33–30 win

Three keys to Buffalo’s victory

Allen’s late-game execution.

Cook’s ground attack.

Winning the turnover battle.

Final verdict

The Bills demonstrated why they remain a serious AFC contender.

Allen’s playmaking, Cook’s physical running and Bass’s accuracy proved decisive in a game that could easily have slipped away.

However, allowing 378 total yards and 30 points exposed defensive concerns Buffalo will need to address.

The Raiders moved the ball effectively and nearly forced a late tie, but their inability to recover the onside kick ended their comeback attempt.

A valuable road win built on clutch offensive execution, though the defense will need to tighten up against stronger opponents.

Buffalo moves to 5–1 and keeps its momentum rolling into Week 7
