Celtics blow out Raptors as losing streak hits 11 games

The Boston Celtics took a dominant 125-71 win over the Toronto Raptors Tuesday night in Boston.

The Raptors were only down by eight points at the half, but the Celtics came out in the third quarter and pulled away fast. Jayson Tatum led Boston with 23 points, also grabbing eight rebounds, while Payton Pritchard scored 19 points in the win. The Celtics shot an extremely efficient 51.2 percent from three and 54 percent overall.

For the Raptors, they end 2024 losing 11 straight games. Everything said about the Celtics was the opposite for Toronto; they shot just 25 percent from three and 31.4 overall. Scottie Barnes led them in scoring with 16 points in the loss.

That makes it 7-26 for the Raps; they look for their first win since December third as they host the Brooklyn Nets on New Year’s Day.
