The international break is finally over, and club soccer is back. This week was certainly an interesting one, with teams bouncing back and the blockbuster match being Arsenal vs. Tottenham.
Manchester United secured a much-needed 3-0 win against Southampton. Manchester City continued their winning streak with a 2-1 victory over Brentford. Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle all gained three points. The most shocking part of the week was Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest at home, with a strike from substitute Hudson-Odoi in the 72nd minute of the match. In North London, Arsenal needed to win the derby without their captain, Ødegaard, due to injury. Both teams had the same number of shots, with Tottenham having more possession. However, Arsenal’s G. Mangoles headed the ball into the back of the net in the 64th minute to secure the win for Arsenal.
Now, we look forward to the excitement of Matchweek 5, where the spotlight will be on Manchester City vs. Arsenal.
