The match between Spain and Germany was in a deadlock until the 51st minute when the Spanish youngster Yamil crossed it into the box for Dani Olmo to bury it and put Spain 1-0 up. In the 89th minute, Writz shot it into the corner of the net to make it 1-1, forcing the match into extra time. Then, in the 119th minute, Spain sealed their semifinal spot with a marvelous header by Merino, winning the match 2-1.
The Portugal vs France game was equally intense. Despite numerous shots and substitutions, neither team managed to score in the first 90 minutes. During extra time, both teams remained defensively strong, leading the game to penalties. The penalty shootout was as close as the match itself, with Portugal missing one by Felix as he hit the bar, resulting in a 5-4 penalty shootout victory for France. France advances to the semifinals where they will face Spain.
