Game Preview: Leafs battle the Capitals

Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs (38-20-9) are in Washington tonight vs. Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals (33-25-9). 

Toronto is coming off a 4-3 loss last night to the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Leafs and Capitals have played once this season. Toronto won the game 4-1.

Tyler Bertuzzi looks to continue his excellent play as of late. He picked up a goal and an assist in last night’s game vs. Philadelphia. In 66 games this season, he has 33 points.

John Tavares has five points in his last two games. 

Alexander Ovechkin is a player to watch out for whenever he plays Toronto. Ovechkin looks like he is back to his old self. He has scored three goals in his last two games.

Charlie Lindgren will start for Washington in the net. He is 18-11-5 with a .915 save percentage and 2.59 GAA. 

Joseph Woll will start for the Maple Leafs. It is his first start since March 7th against the Boston Bruins.
