England claimed the bronze medal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a thrilling 6-4 victory over France in one of the most entertaining matches of the tournament.

England stormed out to an early lead, taking control of the match with an explosive first-half attacking display. Bukayo Saka was the star of the night, scoring a sensational hat trick, while Declan Rice, Ezri Konsa, and Jude Bellingham also found the net.

France refused to go quietly. Led by Kylian Mbappé, Les Bleus mounted an incredible comeback after trailing by four goals. Mbappé scored twice and helped spark a late rally that cut the deficit to one, but England responded when Bellingham added the decisive sixth goal to secure the victory.

The victory gives England a third-place finish and a positive end to an impressive tournament under manager Thomas Tuchel. For France, the defeat marked the final match of Didier Deschamps’ tenure as head coach after a successful 14-year run that included the 2018 World Cup title.

Attention now turns to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final, where Spain will face Argentina on July 19 to determine the world champion.
