POSTGAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH JOHN GRUDEN
On tonight’s game:
We got our team back. They found their confidence. They found their mojo. I knew they would. We’ve said it all year and all playoffs long, when their backs against the wall, it brings out the best in them. I guess that’s a good trait to have when your team is on the brink of losing. We just have to bring it again. Bottle it up and understand what was successful and get our rest and enjoy the win and then make sure we’re ready to go on Sunday.
EASTON COWAN (1 GOAL, 1 ASSIST)
On tonight’s game:
I felt our third period was our best period of the playoffs. We played together as a team. We played north, we played fast and we capitalized on our chances, so it was very good.
On Landon Sim’s goal:
That goal just describes him. He’s a hard nosed player and he gets to the net, draws penalties, finishes checks and he’s got sneaky good touch around the net. I’ve seen it for many years now. He’s a really good player and he’s got good touch so for him to get a piece on that does not surprise me.
LOGAN SHAW (1 GOAL)
On tonight’s game:
I thought we played a pretty good game overall. To be honest, the three home games I didn’t think we played bad. We kind of let up in some spots, we didn’t really keep our foot down but tonight we did. We used the crowd and the momentum that we had. We just kept building off of it. We stuck together. We played for each other. We played together and good things happen when you do the right things.
On the building’s atmosphere:
The crowd has honestly been awesome all three games. To hear them chant, it’s actually really cool. It’s the loudest it’s been since I’ve been here. It’s really nice to have that support.
