William Nylander and the Toronto Maple Leafs (40-21-9) vs. Jack Hughes, the New Jersey Devils (35-33-4) tonight at Scotiabank Arena.

The Leafs and Devils will meet for the first time this season and will play again twice in the coming weeks.

Auston Matthews is on a four-game point streak. He has collected 10 points in that stretch.

Maple Leafs Head Coach Sheldon Keefe says that Morgan Rielly will be a game-time decision, and Joel Edmundson will not play this week. He is day-to-day.

Some encouraging news for Toronto: Mitch Marner was on the ice at the morning skate. He is day-to-day from his high ankle sprain.

Matt Murray and Ilya Samsonov were on the ice and facing shots.

Toronto is 5-4-1 in their last 10 games.

Jack Hughes leads the Devils this season with 69 points. The 22-year-old has six points in his last four games.

Jake Allen is the expected net starter for New Jersey.

Joseph Woll is the starter for Toronto. Martin Jones will be backing him up.

The puck drop for tonight’s game is at 7:30 on TSN4.
