POSTGAME QUOTES
On tonight’s game:
I liked a lot of our game. Obviously, not the result. I say you take away 10 minutes of the second period, a couple of bad line changes, a couple of times we turned pucks over and they transitioned, we knew that that was a strength of their games. Their power play took some momentum away from the five-on-five. I thought five-on-five for the most part we were pretty good tonight. Obviously, not good enough. Some things we’ve got to clean up. It’s a start where we’ll look at some stuff, clean some stuff up and give ourselves a chance tomorrow.
On Borya Valis’ two-goal game:
(His) line was good. I thought that they started a little bit slow, probably some of it had to do with the power plays the other team had. They couldn’t get into it as quickly but I thought they had some good shifts, really grinded it out down low and scored a couple of goals.
