We are heading into the second matchday of Euro 2024 in Germany, with England once again relishing a chance at the cup, and Georgia hoping to continue their fairytale run.

The match between England and Slovakia did not disappoint at any point. England started the match in a horrendous way, unlike the stature of their country’s soccer team. Slovakia made it 1-0 in the 25th minute with a beautiful assist, and Schranz put it into the back of the net. England played sloppy, and it came down to the wire. However, in the 95th minute of stoppage time, Jude Bellingham scored a fantastic bicycle kick to make it 1-1, sending the game into extra time. England seemed to gather momentum from the goal, and Harry Kane made it 2-1 in the 91st minute of the match, advancing them to the quarterfinals

Spain started out their match rocky, conceding an own goal in the 18th minute of the match. Spain continued their efforts and finally converted a goal by an elite finish by Spain’s defensive midfielder Rodri in the 39th minute of the match. After the break F.Ruiz made it 2-1 during the 51st minute of the match followed by a goal by N.Williams in the 75th minute. Spain were not done and sealed their way to the quarter finals with a final goal from Olmo in the 83rd minute to make the score 4-1. This goes to show the powerhouse that Spain have been in the competition so far.
