The long wait for soccer fans has come to an end with the beginning of club competitions around the world. The English Premier League kicked off today with the match between Manchester United and Fulham.
Manchester United, who had a rocky season last year, began the new season with aspirations to show they are in the title race. The match was at a deadlock until the 87th minute when United’s new signing from Bologna player Joshua Zirkzee scored his first-ever Premier League goal. This marks the first of many matches to come in the upcoming season.
Tomorrow, the rest of the 18 teams will face off in the Premier League, with many eyes on Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
