The Toronto Tempo fell 108-95 to the Dallas Wings on Friday night in a historic game at Montreal’s Bell Centre. Despite the loss, the evening marked a milestone for the WNBA as a record regular-season crowd of 20,996 fans packed the arena, setting a new league attendance record.

Toronto was led by Marina Mabrey, who delivered one of her best performances of the season with 34 points, including 17 in the opening quarter to help the Tempo build an early lead. Laura Juskaite added a career-high 25 points, keeping the expansion club in contention through three quarters.

The Wings took control in the fourth quarter behind rookie star Paige Bueckers, who finished with 34 points and six assists. Dallas also received a dominant double-double from Jessica Shepard, who contributed 20 points and 17 rebounds, while Arike Ogunbowale chipped in 20 points. The Wings outscored Toronto 24-10 in the final frame to pull away for their fourth consecutive victory.

The defeat dropped the Tempo to 9-13 on the season, while Dallas improved to 15-8. Toronto will remain in Montreal for another marquee matchup, hosting the defending champion New York Liberty on Sunday as they continue their push for a playoff spot.
