Trick Williams Survives Baron Corbin
Trick Williams defeated Baron Corbin in a Steel Cage Match to retain the WWE United States Championship.
Corbin pushed Williams to the limit, including a dramatic superplex sequence from the top of the cage.
Corbin even became the first opponent to kick out of the Trick Shot. Williams ultimately countered an End of Days attempt and hit three consecutive Book Ends to score the decisive victory.
CM Punk Qualifies for Money in the Bank
CM Punk defeated Gunther and Finn Bálor in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank qualifying match.
The closing stretch saw Bálor and Gunther nearly put Punk away, but Punk survived and capitalized when Bálor hit Gunther. Punk rolled through with a cover to secure his place in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Punk now joins Bron Breakker, Penta, Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams in the field, with one position still remaining.
Lash Legend Punches Her Ticket
Lash Legend defeated Charlotte Flair and Giulia in the Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match.
Legend earned her place in the Women’s Ladder Match in New Orleans, adding another major opportunity to her rapidly developing rivalry landscape.
Six-Woman Tag Team Action
Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid faced Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton and Paige in a six-woman tag team match.
