TORONTO — The Toronto Raptors produced an emphatic home-court performance Wednesday night, overwhelming the Orlando Magic 129–99 at Scotiabank Arena.
Scottie Barnes led the way with 28 points, while Mississauga native RJ Barrett added 25 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Toronto delivered one of its most complete performances of the young season, combining efficient shooting, aggressive defence and balanced contributions from its rotation.
The victory was particularly encouraging because the Raptors played without Kawhi Leonard, who was sidelined with swelling in his left knee.
Toronto improved to 3–1, bouncing back strongly after Sunday’s 117–94 loss to Minnesota.
Orlando initially threatened to take control, opening up a nine-point advantage behind its early offensive execution.
Toronto responded with increased defensive pressure and a scoring surge sparked by Barrett.
The Raptors closed the quarter with a strong run, knocking down perimeter shots and attacking the basket to establish a 32–25 lead.
Second Quarter — Raptors Take Control
Barrett continued to lead Toronto’s offence, finishing the first half with 21 points.
Barnes supplied a spectacular 360-degree dunk late in the quarter, energizing the home crowd and helping Toronto extend its advantage.
The Raptors entered halftime comfortably ahead, 69–53, after outscoring Orlando 37–28 in the second period.
Barnes was outstanding, making all seven of his field-goal attempts in the period and scoring 16 points.
His combination of power, footwork and playmaking overwhelmed Orlando’s defence as Toronto carried a commanding 103–76 lead into the fourth quarter.
Fourth Quarter — Toronto Closes It Out
With a 27-point cushion, Toronto maintained its intensity while distributing minutes across the rotation.
Jamal Shead continued to contribute offensively, and the Raptors avoided allowing Orlando to build any meaningful comeback.
Toronto completed the 30-point victory, improving its record to 3–1
Toronto’s 42.9% shooting from three-point range and 33 assists demonstrated how effectively the team moved the ball.
Defensively, the Raptors capitalized on Orlando’s 20 turnovers and limited the visitors to 41.3% shooting from the field.
Orlando Magic Report
Tristan da Silva led Orlando with 20 points, shooting eight-for-ten from the field.
Franz Wagner added 15 points and five assists, while Desmond Bane finished with 13 points.
However, Orlando struggled to maintain possession under Toronto’s defensive pressure.
Wagner committed seven turnovers, and the Magic’s perimeter shooting never matched the Raptors’ efficiency.
The absence of leading scorer Paolo Banchero and guard Jalen Suggs further complicated Orlando’s task.
