The final stop before AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door delivered an action-packed edition of AEW Collision from the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Three championships were defended, major rivalries intensified, and the show ended with momentum shifting just one night before the pay-per-view.

AEW World Trios Championship

Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly successfully retained the AEW World Trios Championship by defeating HOOK, Katsuyori Shibata, and Anthony Bowens in a hard-fought main event. The champions overcame a relentless challenge to head into Forbidden Door with the gold still around their waists.

TNT Championship

Kevin Knight retained the TNT Championship against Dezmond Xavier in an exciting, fast-paced contest. Xavier pushed the champion to the limit, but Knight countered a late comeback to score another successful title defense.

CMLL Women’s World Championship

Persephone defeated Billie Starkz to retain the CMLL Women’s World Championship, continuing her impressive reign ahead of Forbidden Door.

Women’s Tag Team Showcase

Mercedes Moné teamed with Athena to face Maya World and Hyan in a showcase match featuring Owen Hart Cup rivals. Although Moné and Athena appeared to gain momentum, Maya World got the final word after the match, sending a strong message before Forbidden Door.

Other Results

Chris Jericho defeated JD Drake.

Mistico and “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Tony Nese and Ari Daivari.

Jake Doyle picked up a victory over Adam Priest.

Collision served as an effective go-home show, with all three champions retaining their titles while building anticipation for Forbidden Door. The title matches delivered solid in-ring action, and the closing angle involving Maya World and Mercedes Moné added another intriguing layer to Sunday’s card.
