Kyle Lowry officially announced his retirement from the NBA on July 7, 2026, signing a ceremonial one-day contract with the Toronto Raptors to retire with the franchise where he became the greatest player in team history. 

During an emotional press conference in Toronto, Lowry thanked the city, his teammates, coaches, and fans, calling Toronto his home and expressing gratitude for the support he received throughout his career. General Manager Bobby Webster joined him as he signed the one-day contract, officially ending his playing career as a Raptor.
