LAS VEGAS — October 4, 2026

Chase Briscoe delivered one of the strongest performances of his 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season, leading 175 of 267 laps to win the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver captured both the race and a pair of stage victories, strengthening his position in the championship Chase.

Briscoe started fourth but quickly established himself as the driver to beat.

He controlled the opening stage and ultimately held off a furious late charge from Kyle Larson.

Larson Survives Wild Final Lap

Larson appeared poised to finish second comfortably, but the closing lap produced one of the race’s biggest moments.

Larson’s No. 5 Chevrolet made contact with the outside wall exiting Turn 4.

Tyler Reddick then became involved, sliding into the infield.

Despite the contact, Larson somehow kept his car moving and crossed the finish line second, 1.376 seconds behind Briscoe. Reddick recovered for third.
