National League Championship Series • October 14, 2026 • Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles

The Milwaukee Brewers moved to the brink of the World Series after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 6–2 in Game 3, taking a commanding 3–0 lead in the best-of-seven NLCS.

Milwaukee’s late power surge and outstanding pitching proved decisive against the defending champions.

How the game unfolded

First inning — Chourio strikes immediately

Jackson Chourio launched a home run on the first pitch from Dodgers starter Blake Snell, giving Milwaukee a 1–0 lead before the home crowd had settled in.

Sixth inning — Los Angeles responds

Milwaukee’s rookie starter Robert Gasser departed after five scoreless innings and allowing only three hits.

The Dodgers loaded the bases against reliever Abner Uribe, and Will Smith delivered a two-run double to put Los Angeles ahead 2–1.

Seventh inning — Milwaukee takes control

The Brewers answered emphatically. Jake Bauers drove an 11-pitch at-bat into a two-run home run, putting Milwaukee ahead 3–2.

Garrett Mitchell followed with a home run of his own, extending the lead to 4–2 and knocking Snell out of the game.

Eighth inning — Insurance runs

Brice Turang scored on a wild pitch, adding another run for Milwaukee.

The Brewers added further insurance in the ninth to complete the 6–2 victory.

Milwaukee is now one win away from its first World Series appearance since 1982. The Brewers combined effective starting pitching, a productive bullpen and timely home runs to put the defending champions in serious trouble.

Los Angeles faces elimination in Game 4.

The Dodgers must find more consistent offence and prevent Milwaukee from continuing to exploit mistakes in high-leverage innings.

Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a walk and a hit-by-pitch, while the Dodgers managed only five hits overall.

Game 4: Milwaukee Brewers at Los Angeles Dodgers, Thursday, October 15. The Dodgers must win to keep their season alive.
